Your final format entry should always refer to the final finished product - i.e., processed (folded or bound), as the case may be.

It would be incorrect to choose a format in flat form, i.e. unfolded (laid flat).

When creating your artwork, please make sure that you allow 2mm bleed on each side that needs trimming and please also send us a 1 page of your artwork.

Colours

Printing is done according to CMYK and HKS/Pantone. You can either go for a screenproof or a colour binding paperproof (according to FOGRA standard) by selecting it on the calculation page.

Paper

We exclusively use branded illustration printing papers, which are refined with a printing varnish. In addition, we use 80 GSM recycled white (100% used paper), as well as 90 GSM and 120 GSM offset bright white (convenient for laser printers and copiers).

Processing

Perfect binding is a type of binding where the sheets are collected to form a block and are bound by coating the block\'s spine with a special glue. We use polyurethane glue (PUR).

Have the outside of the cover refined and protected by a high-quality, glossy or matt, cellopahe coating (= laminating).

Creasing/Perforation

You want to have your product grooved (recommended for covers of at least 250 GSM)?

Groove lines have to be chosen if you opt for staple binding. Please note that despite the grooving we cannot guarantee that the spine does not crack.
